DENVER — Adams County sheriff’s deputies arrested 28 people on suspicion of driving under the influence during the Fourth of July weekend. That was the third-highest arrest total among participating law enforcement agencies.
Denver police arrested 85 suspected drunk drivers, and police in Colorado Springs nabbed 37. Statewide, more than 1,174 drivers have been arrested as part of the state’s Heat is On campaign. It started Memorial Day weekend.
