BHS takes EMAC baseball crown

BRIGHTON -- James Smith pitched and batted Brighton High School to a 3-1 win over Northglenn Friday night. The win gave the Bulldogs the Eastern Metro Athletic Conference baseball crown.


Smith hit the game-winning, two-run home run in the last of the sixth inning. He also threw a complete game against the Norse. Smith allowed five hits, walked one and struck out nine.

Conner Reynolds started the scoring for BHS with a solo home run in the second inning. Seth Armentout and Caden Pratt stole two bases.
