LITTLETON -- Brighton's Reagan Ritchey had a bit more trouble in the second round of the state 5A golf tournament at Raccoon Creek Golf Course May 20.
She settled for an 18-over par 90. That, coupled with her 12-over par 84 in the first round, left her tied for 35th place after the two-day tournament.
Ritchey saved par on the 13th hole with a long putt off the fringe of the green. She was 5-over after her front nine and parred the first four holes on the back nine in Monday's round. But then she ran into problems and finished out the first round 7-over par over the last five holes.
Ritchey was off the course before sever weather suspended play late in the second round.
We'll have more from Ritchey in the May 27 edition of the Brighton Standard Blade.
