The Community Reach Center has received $175,000 from the Adams County Human Service Agency that will fund mental-health services for hundreds of low-income clients who are not eligible for Medicaid benefits next year.
The center provides services based on the severity of an individual’s mental illness. Most clients are treated on an outpatient basis.
“We are extremely grateful to this outstanding Adams County government program for this funding and for their faith and trust in our work at the Center,” said CEO Rick Doucet. “Mental illness is one of the top 10 leading causes of disability in the U.S. It’s critical funding that will help us provide the necessary treatment for hundreds of people who might not otherwise receive treatment and care.”
