BRIGHTON -- Brighton police are looking for the driver of a car who left the scene of a rear-end crash July 20 in front of the Brighton Police Department.

There's no description of the driver.

Three people were injured, one seriously, as a result of the crash. One of the injured teenagers was due to return to college July 21. One of the victims remained in the hospital. Another was released. Names and conditions have not been released.

The rear-end crash happened in the 3400 block of East Bromley Lane shortly after 1:30 p.m.. It sent one of the vehicles across four lanes of traffic and into a dead-end road that will, some day, run alongside the Prairie Center development. Because of the extent of damage, fire rescue crews had to remove the victims by taking off three of their vehicle's doors. A Platte Valley ambulance took the victims to the University of Colorado Medical Center in Aurora.

Brighton police continued to investigate.
