Brighton fire officials haven't said what caused a late morning house fire on North 12th Avenue that injured one person.
That unidentified person was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries. The condition is not known.
The fire started around 11:15 a.m. Division chief Michael Schuppe said firefighters found smoke coming out the back of the home when they arrived.
It didn't take long for firefighters to extinguish the blaze. Crews remained on the scene to conduct an investigation and to do post-fire cleanup. The cause has not been determined.
