Golf: Time for the first of two EMAC majors

WESTMINSTER – Prairie View's Trista Skinner was her team's low scorer at the first Eastern Metro Athletic Conference major golf tournament of the season April 12 at Legacy Ridge Golf Course.


She carded a 27-over par 99 and took 10th place in the individual standings. Alexis Noll finished 13th with a 29-over par 101. Ashtyn Delorenzo took 27th place after her round of 137. The ThunderHawks finished fourth in the team standings.

League newcomer Vista Peak holds onto first place in the league championship standings. The Bison lead Northglenn by 21 shots.

Brighton's Shelisa Derr took 12th. She turned a score of 100, 28-over par. Catera Gagna finished 16th with a 36-over total of 108. Haileu Radmann wound up 30th. She finished with a 67-over par total of 139. BHS was sixth in the team standings, five shots behind Rangeview.

The second EMAC major tournament is set for 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, at Fitzsimons Golf Course, 2323 Scranton St., Aurora.
