Heat slows, doesn’t deter CARA youth track team

    PARKER — Two members of Brighton’s Colorado Association of Recreational Athletics youth track team placed in the top six of their respective events Saturday at the Colorado Hershey state finals at Sports Authority Stadium in Parker.

    Ross Forehand was fifth in the 11- and 12-year-old 100-meter dash, and Kaitlyn Becker took sixth in the standing long jump among 11- and 12-year-olds.
