Cody Nekvasil needs a little comforting from his mother, Lisa, as he has his head shaved during the St. Baldricks fundraiser at the Shopneck Boys and Girls Club on Saturday. Cody’s father, Mike, is a member of the Brighton Fire Department, one of the sponsors of the annual event that raises money for finding a cure for childhood cancers. This year’s Shav-A-Thon raised about $12,000 and saw 50 volunteers get shaved.
