It's year 2 for Brighton Oasis, starting Saturday

The Brighton Oasis Family Aquatic Park kicks off its 2012 season at 11 a.m., May 26.

Park hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. six days a week and until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for family fun night.

The park is at 1852 Bromley Lane. It features a lazy river, wave generator, tot pool with interactive play features, two water slides and a water basketball area. In addition, the park features a full concession stand as well as lockers and a pavilion for birthday parties and rentals.
 
The city broke ground on the $5.9 million aquatic park in December 2010,  and it opened last June. During its first month of business, the park drew in more than 13,000 visitors.
 
Cost for residents is $2.50 for children 2 to 5, $4 for children 6 to 17 and seniors 60 and older, and $4.50 for adults. Children under 2 are free with a paying adult. Residents must present a resident card to receive the resident rates.
