New date set in March for Morrow trial

-A A +A

The on-again, off-again trial for a former Adams County sheriff’s deputy accused of assault is set for March 18. Its most recent date before that was mid-November.
David Morrow is accused of second-degree assault, witness tampering and official oppression. They are the result of an altercation at a part on Welby Road almost 18 months ago.
Adams County District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Krista Flannigan said the reason for the delay was not clear. However, a motion hearing is set before trial. Flannigan said the reasons for the latest delay would be addressed at that hearing.
The sheriff’s department fired Morrow in July 2011.
