One man died Tuesday morning after a multicar crash on U.S. Highway 85 near the Elmwood Cemetery.
Brighton Police Department spokesman Rich Kelly said the name of the male victim was not released.
The collision happened shortly before 9 a.m. Kelly said a southbound vehicle crossed the median and was hit by a northbound tanker truck. The car was then pushed into the path of another semi-tractor trailer and struck broadside.
The Colorado Department of Transportation reopened northbound U.S. Highway 85 around noon after a three-hour closure.
