Thieves made off with $7,000 worth of power cord from the Boral Aggregate gravel pit, 14585 Brighton Road, sometime last week.
The 35-year-old plant manager called police July 26 to report of about 350 feet of power cord was stolen sometime between 6 p.m., July 25 and the next morning.
The cord, which was attached to the conveyor belt with zip ties, appeared to have been cut by a hacksaw and cut into smaller sections to make it easier to transport.
