Cancer Support Group
Saturdays, Sept. 14 & 28, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. —

Platte Valley Medical Center offers a monthly support group to help cancer patients and their families cope with the uncertainties and overwhelming feelings that cancer brings. Research shows that a support group can help people emotionally and even improve their physical health through treatment. The Cancer Support Group in held in the hospital’s Oncology Clinic, which is located at 1606 Prairie Center Parkway in Suite 270 of the Medical Office Building. Farmer’s Market EXPRESS
Tuesdays, Sept. 17, 24, Noon - 2 p.m. —
If you’re looking for farm fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, drop by Platte Valley Medical Center’s Bistro every Tuesday through Sept. 24. You can purchase in-season produce that is freshly hand-picked for you. It’s quick, convenient, and ready to grab and go. There will also be fun healthy recipes and PVMC’s Executive Chef Mike will feature exclusive savory menu items each week. at Ft. Lupton Recreation Center (130 S. McKinley, Fort Lupton).
$25 - Flu shot or Flu mist (nasal spray)
$30 - High dose Flu vaccine (65 years and over)
$35 - Pneumonia vaccine

New this year: Egg-Free Flu Vaccine — If you are allergic to eggs and have never been able to receive a flu vaccine, call 303-498-3590 to reserve your egg-free vaccine so you can be protected this year.
    If you have Medicare, AARP Medicare, Humana Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield or Rocky Mountain Health Plans insurance, there is no co-pay for your flu vaccine. To be eligible, you must bring your insurance card for proof of coverage.  For more information, call 303-498-3590.
