Sport event smoking ban to come before council

Before long, the Brighton City Council will take up the question of whether to ban smoking at scheduled sporting events in the city's public parks.

The parks and recreation advisory board considered a complete elimination of smoking at the parks but revised it to include just the sporting contests in city parks. As of Friday, the proposal has yet to be drafted for council review and/or discussion.
