THORNTON -- Four people were arrested late Tuesday night after a wild chase through parts of Northglenn and Thornton.
Officers arrested the fourth individual in the 15400 block of Washington Street around 11:45 p.m. The other three were apprehended when the chase ended near E-470 and Washington Street.
The chase began in Northglenn around 10:30 p.m., though the reason remained unclear late Tuesday night. At times, speeds reached 70 mph on city streets, and officers said the suspects fired a gun at least five times in Thornton and Northglenn before the pursuit.
The chase went west on 120th Avenue through Thornton and Northglenn before it ventured out onto I-25. After the pursuit went north on I-25, it went west, then east on E-470 before it ended in a field just east of the interstate.
Washington Street was closed near 144th Avenue while officers from Broomfield, Northglenn, Westminster and Thornton police departments, the Colorado State Patrol and Adams County sheriff's deputies continued to look for the missing suspect. One of the arrested individuals required medical attention.
