Weld County sheriff’s deputies are seeking two burglars who broke into a home near Fort Lupton on Friday, Jan. 27, in the 9000 block of Weld County Road 22.

The masked burglars stole several items from the home, according to surveillance camera footage given to the sheriff’s office.

Jonathan Michael Johnson, 20, is believed to be one of the men caught on the surveillance camera, the sheriff’s office said.

Johnson was last seen with two other people leaving Brighton on Monday, Jan. 30, headed northbound on U.S. Highway 85 toward Fort Lupton in a red Pontiac, the sheriff’s office said.

Johnson is considered armed and dangerous and is a known heroin and methamphetamine user, according to the sheriff’s office. Johnson also has an active national arrest warrant for second-degree burglary, the sheriff’s office said. The identity of the second suspects has not been released.

Officials believe Johnson may be headed to Nebraska. Anyone with more information can call 970-356-4015 or 1-800-222-8477.
