  • Lynn G. Fife

    Lynn G. Fyfe, 61, of Brighton, went to be with his Lord May 12, 2012. He was born in Sigourney, Iowa, Dec. 16, 1950, to Edward Fyfe and Edna Schaefer. He graduated from Alleman Catholic High School in Rock Island, Ill., and continued his education, graduating from the University of Iowa as a pharmacist and was working on a master’s in theology from the Franciscan University of Stuebenville.

     

  • Philip Eugene Goggin

        Philip Eugene Goggin, I, 57.  Born April 19, 1954, in Denver.  He passed away April 8, 2012, in Morenci, Arizona.  He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Edward, and his sister Paula Ann Waters.

  • Mandye M. Gallegos

    Mandye M. Gallegos, 98, of Fort Lupton, died May 13, 2012. She was born Sept. 9, 1913, in Trinidad, to Sotelo Martinez and Josephine Herrera. She graduated from high school in 1932 from Hoehne, Colo., High School and continued her education in nursing school at Trinidad State Junior College.

    She worked at Trinidad State Nursing Hospital and also at the then-Denver General Hospital. She lived in Fort Lupton since 2000.

    Mandye loved solving crossword puzzles, music and dancing. She also enjoyed cooking for her family.

  • George F. Waugh

    George F. “Jeff” Waugh, 62, of Brighton, died April 15, 2012, in Denver.
    George was born Nov. 13, 1949, in Buffalo, N.Y. to James and Mary Waugh.
    Survivors include a brother, Greg Waugh (Donna), of Gilford, N.H.; a sister, Kathy Waugh, of Nashua, N.H.; and two daughters, Dana Strotheide (Andrew), of Lafayette, and Hanna Waugh, of Greeley.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Imy Waugh.

  • Fannie E. Martinez (Sisneros)

              Fannie E. Martinez (Sisneros), 76, of Northglenn, died May, 2, 2012, at home.

                She was born March 22, 1936, in Brighton, to Jerry F. and Maria Carina Sisneros. She attended Brighton High School and retired from the University of Colorado Health Science Center.

  • Rosalinda Gomez

    Rosalinda Gomez, 74, of Brighton, died May 3, 2012, at her home. She was born in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Jose Gallegos and Eugenia De Luna Sept. 4, 1937.

     

    She is survived by her husband, Alberto R. Gomez; children, Alfredo Leal, Jr., Henry Leal and Sylvia Jaramillo; sisters, Lupe Zamora, Ermelinda Gallegos, Carmen G. Flores and Dora Kemp; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

  • Doris Olive McClure

    Doris Olive McClure, 96, died May 4, 2012, at St. Anthony’s North Hospital, Westminster, Colorado.

             She was born May 12, 1915, near Munden, Kan., to Paul and Lottie (Morris) Kettelhut. She graduated from Chester High School in 1933. She married Robert Wagner McClure March 13, 1938, in Castle Rock.

  • Howard Wray

    Kenai, Ala., resident Howard Wray died Oct. 1, 2011. at the Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna, Ala.
    A memorial service to celebrate Howard’s life will be at 1 p.m., May 12, at the Methodist Church in Fort Lupton, 306 Park Ave.
    Howard was born July 30, 1938, to Lowell and Mildred Wray in Wheatland, Wyo. They moved to Colorado when he was very young. He went to school in Denver and graduated from West High School. In 1956, Howard married the love of his life Diana (Miller), and together they had five children.

  • Dorothy M. Rusch

    Dorothy Mae Rusch, 78, of Westminster, died April 30, 2012, at home in her sleep.
    Dorothy was born to Carl Sr. and Amelia Thoutt. She married Kenneth Rusch July 24, 1955.

  • OBITUARY: Gerald Dean Nichols, 80, of Severance

    Gerald Dean Nichols, 80, of Severance, died May 6, 2012 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins.

    Mr. Nichols was born Jan. 24, 1932, to Orville and Blanche (Vernard) Nichols in Weldona, Colo. He served in the Navy.

    He worked for Hall Irwin as an aggregate salesman. Gerald was known for his ability to work on and fix most anything.
