Brighton police are looking for a man in a small, white pick-up truck, after a Brighton High School student told school staff that he touched her inappropriately on school grounds.

The student said that a light-skinned man in a blue sweater/hoodie, wearing blue jeans, a white baseball hat, white Nike sneakers and glasses, got out of his truck, touched her, then drove off, according to police spokesman Rich Kelly. The hat and the hoodie had the same circular gold emblem on them, the student said.

The man also had a scruffy goatee and is about 5 feet 4 inches tall, Kelly said in a press statement. The man appeared to be in his late 20s or early 30s, according to the press statement.

Police are calling the incident "a potential safety concern" at Brighton High School.

"Please be aware of anyone who may match this description and contact Brighton police immediately by calling 9-1-1," Kelly said in the press statement.

Police also encourage students to be aware of their surroundings, to walk in groups when traveling to and from school and to report any suspicious activities or individuals to an admnistrator, a teacher or campus supervisor.
