Egan named American Miss Preteen Colorado

    Miss Kate Egan, daughter of Don and Lisa Egan, has earned the prestigious title of the 2013 National American Miss Preteen at the state pageant June 30.
    She will be attending the National Pageant to be held in Anaheim, Calif., at Disneyland during Thanksgiving week, representing the great state of Colorado, where she will have the opportunity to win her share of more than $500,000 in cash and prizes.

    Kate is a 4.0 GPA student at Prairie View Middle School, where she is a member of the Student Council and NJHS. In her free time she loves to be on the dance floor with her performance team from Gayton dance.
    When Kate graduates from 
high school she hopes you will find her as an emergency room trauma surgeon.
    National American Miss encourages the girl’s to be “Today’s Girl” and “Tomorrow’s Leaders” by being actively involved in their communities.  Kate will be collecting winter clothing items to donate to local charities with a group that was started by her and some friends called “Warm Hearts For Cold Days.” She will also be helping fellow queens with their different platforms, bullying and NEGU “Never Ever Give Up” which is an origination for children with cancer.
