More retail, restaurants and storage with $2.7 million land purchase

The planned Brighton Commons shopping center is moving forward as construction begins on the mixed use development that includes restaurants, retail and mini-storage.

A little over 4 acres of the 7-acre property on South 50th Avenue and East Bridge Street was recently purchased by Lonestar Development Partners for $2.7 million.

The north half of the property, while still at a conceptual design level, will primarily focus on retail and restaurants, but the city does not have specifics on what those businesses would be at this time, Holly Prather, said.
