Softball

Prairie View routed Westminster 15-0 on the Wolves' field Sept. 12. The game lasted three innings because of the state's mercy rule.

Anicia Lucero had two hits and three RBIs. Neveah Ramirez and Lauren Bencivenga added two hits and drove in two. Ramirez threw a one-hitter and struck out five.

Football

Prairie View won its first football game of the season by beating Westminster 29-8 in the T-Hawks' home opener Sept. 13.

Softball

Prairie View split two games last week. PVHS routed Grandview 15-2 in five innings Sept. 13. Joey Severence had three hits and two RBIs. Halie Stoneking and Neveah

Ramirez had two hits and drove in two runs. Sam Skinner had a base hit and a pair of RBIs. 

Arvada West scored seven runs in the second inning and beat PVHS 11-1 in six innings Sept. 14. Severence and Stoneking had two hits. Anicia Lucero had PVHS' only RBI.

Cross country

Kevin Martinez of the ThunderHawks was the first to cross the finish line for the PVHS boys team at the Centaurus Cross Country Invitational at Wanetka Lake Park Sept. 14. His time was 20:09, which was good for 100th place.

Aaron Mendoza was 109th after posting a time of 20:19. Gavin Walker (112th, 20:31), Noel Estrada (116th, 20:39) and Leandro Diaz (129th, 21:44) rounded out the top five placers for Prairie View. The ThunderHawks were 20th in the point standings.

On the girls side, Madelyn Schmidt was 84th in the field and the first PVHS girls team member to cross the finish line in a time of 23:09. McKinsey Poulson (85th, 23:09), Lydia Jimmerson (116th, 25:07), Ilise Diaz (119th, 25:25) and Desiree Goldsmith (122nd, 25:38) produced the rest of PV's points in the meet. 

PVHS was 19th in the team standings.

Volleyball

PVHS lost all three of its matches at a Sept. 14 tournament at Cherry Creek High School. Horizon beat the T-Hawks 25-6, 25-13. Douglas County stopped PVHS 25-12, 25-17. No stats were available for any of the teams in those matches.

Cherry Creek handled the ThunderHawks by the same set scores of 25-12, 25-17. No stats were available for Prairie View. Calli Clark had eight kills, and Katherine Von Kraut had six to lead the Bruins.
