        Francisco and Rosa Diaz, of Brighton, are pleased to announce the marriage of their son, Alex Diaz, to Lucia Ramirez, of Brighton.


        The couple married April 8, 2011, in a civil ceremony. The couple will hold a celebration of their union May 7, 2011 at their home.

  • Miers-Gustus to wed

        The families of Melissa Miers and Greg Gustus, of Brighton, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their children.
        The wedding will be at 3 p.m., April 30, 2011, at Ribbons ‘N’ Rainbows Event Center in Platteville.

  • Steele-Yarish wed

        Jessie Steele, of Brighton, and Nicholas Yarish, of Littleton, married March 13 at the Space Gallery in Denver. The Rev. Lisa Blair officiated.
        The bride’s father is Steve Steele. The groom’s parents are Steve and Kelly Yarish.
        The bride’s maid of honor was Miriam Evangelista, of Brighton. The bridesmaids were Sammy Knarr, of Littleton and Dennis Page, of Brighton. The best man was Chance Hanson, of Littleton. The usher/groomsman was Jordan Moats, of Omaha.

  • Case-Megel announce engagement

          Cody Case and Kevin DeCarlo, of Brighton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Callie Case, to Matthew Megel, son of Lisa and Wade Megel, of Wiggins.

         A July 17, 2011, wedding is planned at Ellis Ranch in Loveland.

        Christa and Mark Combs, of Evanston, Wyo., and Eldon Ragan, of Colorado Springs, announce the engagement of their daughter, Tambra Ragan, to Nathan Schultz, son of Christina and Scott Schultz, of Aurora.

        Bob and Donna Bakes celebrate 60 years of marriage on Feb. 16, 2011.
        Bob and Donna were high school sweethearts. They were the 1950s stereotype. Donna was a cheerleader and Bob was the quarterback of the football team. Huba huba!

  • Bolson-McPherson wed

        Lloyd and Kathleen Bolson, of Brighton, are pleased to announce the Nov. 21 marriage of their son, Matthew Bolson, to Liisa McPherson.
        Liisa is the daughter of Susie and Maj. Mark McPherson. She graduated from Hanover High School in 2002. Liisa obtained a bachelor of science and bachelor of arts degrees from Colorado State University – Pueblo. She earned her master’s degreee in business (human resource studies) from C.S.U.

  • Brashers to celebrate 50th anniversary

        David and Charlotte Brasher will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony at 1 p.m., Jan. 1, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 650 S. Denver Ave., Fort Lupton. A luncheon reception follows the ceremony.


        The couple married Dec. 25, 1960, in Cañon City.

  • Estok-Larson wed

         Jessica M. Estok, of Brighton, and Kyle J. Larson, of Hudson, united in marriage Oct. 30.
        Jessica, the daughter of Michael and Bonnie Estok, of Brighton, is a 2008 graduate of Brighton High School. She studied at Front Range Community College to be a pharmacy technician and now works at Kaiser Permanente.

  • Squires-Adams to wed

         Rhonda and Larry Squires, of Brighton, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebekah Squires, to Jeffery Adams, the son of Linda and Jim Adams, of Highlands Ranch.

        Rebekah is a 2005 Brighton High School graduate and a 2010 University of Colorado chemical engineering graduate. She is now a process engineer for Washington River Protection Solutions in Richland, Wash. Jeff is a 2009 University of Colorado psychology graduate. The couple resides in Pasco, Wash.
