  • Griffith graduates Air Force basic training

        Air Force Airman Zachariah S. Griffith graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
         The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
         Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

  • Dwyer graduates from Gonzaga University, makes President's List

        SPOKANE, WASH. — Erin Dwyer, of Brighton, participated in Gonzaga University’s graduation exercises during the May 12 commencement ceremony in Spokane’s Veterans’ Memorial Arena.

        Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics.

        Erin also earned placement on the Gonzaga University President’s List for spring semester 2013. Students must earn a 3.7 to 4.0 grade-point average to be listed.

  • Brandon M. Garcia graduates Air Force basic training

    Air Force Airman 1st Class Brandon M. Garcia graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

         The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

  • Flores finalist in American Miss pageant

    Jazmin Flores, 13, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Colorado pageant, to be held June 30 to July 1 at the Marriott Denver Tech Center. 

    Jazmin will compete in the Jr. Teen age division. Her activities include dance and volleyball. She also enjoys camping and hanging out with family and friends.

    Her sponsors include Greg and Rhonda Schaefer, Brice Pralle, the Moore family, the Mathews family, her parents and grandparents.

  • Gregory and Fuller to wed

        John Gregory, of Brooksville, Ky., and Jeanne Connely, of Brighton, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Gregory, to Sterritt Fuller IV, son of Sterritt Fuller III and Erica Iverson, of Brighton.
        Samantha is a 2005 graduate of Brighton High School. She attended Empire Beauty College in 2008 and has been employed at V-Cuts Salon in Brighton since July 2010.

  • Wagner, Fishback to wed

        Richard and Julie Wagner of Brighton, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Audrey Leann Wagner, to Matthew Allen Fishback, son of Richard Fishback, of Grand Junction, and Pam Hohnstein of Denver.

  • Brighton's Kimberly Crawford wins Girl Scouting's Gold Award

        BRIGHTON — Kimberly D. Crawford, of Brighton High School, received the Gold Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting.

        According to a release from Girl Scouts of Colorado, the accomplishments of Gold Award recipients reflect extraordinary leadership and citizenship skills that mark them as valuable contributors to their communities and world.

  • Guildner, Howard engaged

     

     

     

    Gary and Donna Howard, of Brighton, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Marie Howard to Corey Guildner, son of Kerry Guildner, of Bailey, and the late Virgil Guildner. A summer wedding is planned. Both are graduates of Fort Lupton High School.
