  • Larson-Larson wedding

    Robert and Tracy Larson, of Fleming, announce the engagement of their daughter, Raylene Larson, to Kevin Larson, son of James and Melanie Larson, of Henderson.

        The couple will wed in March in Fleming, followed by a reception in Sterling.

  • Press, Verdeal to wed in June

    Rick and Katy Press, of Brighton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Samantha Caitlin Press, to Hunter Phoenix Verdeal, son of Beth Verdeal, of Brighton, and Michael Verdeal, of Salt Lake City, Utah.


        The bride-to-be said yes after a proposal from her fiancé, with the assistance of the CU marching band and the CU dance team before the first game at the Pearl Street Stampede in Boulder.
        A June 2013 wedding is planned, and the couple plan to make their home in Thorton.

  • McIntosh-Pfannenstiel engaged

        John and Gretchen McIntosh, of Brighton, wish to announce the engagement of their son, Andrew McIntosh, to Nicole Pfannenstiel, daughter of Chris and Sharon Pfannenstiel, of Littleton.

  • Schlottman finishes basic training

        Air Force Airman Brailee A. Schlottman graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
         Schlottman is the daughter of Tammy Parise of River Oaks Lane, Henderson. She is a 2011 graduate of Prairie View High School.

  • Monroe, Cox to wed

     

     

        Richard and Jackie Monroe, of Brighton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicolette Monroe, of Henderson, to T.J. Cox, of Henderson, son of Glenda and John Kontour, of Brighton.
        The wedding ceremony is set for 10:30 a.m. Sept. 29, 2012, at the Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. The couple plan to honeymoon across the state and make their home in Henderson.
        Nicolette is a graduate of Baton Rouge Magnet High School, while T.J. is a graduate of Brighton High School.

  • Emilio Blanco completes basic training

        Air Force Airman Emilio S. Blanco graduated last month from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
         The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
         Blanco, a 2010 graduate of Brighton High School, is the son of Donna Hopkins of Lebanon, Ind.

  • McIntosh, Berger to wed

        Judy and Kirk McIntosh, of Arvada, announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Madison McIntosh, of Thornton, to Zach Wood, son of Jerry Wood, of Brighton, and Bridgett Berger.
        The wedding is scheduled for 7 p.m. July 26 at Hudson Gardens in Littleton. Jeff Rogers will officiate. The matron of honor is Dana Barber, of Denver. The best man is Jimmy Beatty, of Brighton.
     

  • Valentine, Rohde to wed

        Jeffrey and Lesa Valentine of Brighton announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, McKenzie Jo Valentine, to Pierce Alton Rohde, son of Terry and Tonya Rohde, of Brighton.

  • Homyak to celebrate 90th birthday

        Kenneth Homyak will celebrate his 90th birthday with a reception from 1 to 5 p.m., April 7, at Ribbons and Rainbows in Platteville.
        Ken was born March 31, 1922, to Mary and John Homyak on the Homyak farm. He graduated from College High School in 1939 and CSCE in 1946 with a school administrator degree. He was inducted in to the Army Air Corps in 1942, receiving his “wings” and second lieutenant rank in 1943.

  • Webb returns from deployment

        National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Daniel R. Webb has returned to the U.S. after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
        Webb, the son of Jeanie L. Munday, of Charleston, W. Va., and Larry E. Webb, of Brighton, is a noncommissioned officer in charge of supply and logistics with the Headquarters Company, 1249th Engineer Battalion, Salem, Ore. He has served 24 years in the military. He is a 1986 graduate of Kentridge High School in Kent, Wash.
