AURORA -- Riverdale Ridge freshman Alexis Yono fired a second-round 103 at the state 4A girls golf tournament June 22 at CommonGround Golf Course to finish 54th in the field.
Yono, a freshman, had two pars in the second round. One came on the par 4, 324-yard eighth hole. The other was on the par 4 13th hole.
She started her first state-level tournament with a score of 105. Yono picked up two pars, the 125-yard sixth hole and the 454-yard 15th hole.
Her teammate, Natali Sois-Franco, fired a 95 in the second round, a 20-stroke improcement over the first round, and finished with a two-day score of 210.
She parred the first, fourth and eighth holes before completing the front nine. Solis-Franco parred two of the par 3s on the back nine.
Solis-Franco carded a 115 in her opening round. Her two pars in the first round were on the par 5, 500-yard 11th hole and the par 3, 112-yard second hole.
